Solutions to Violence
Hosted by Jim Johnson & Jamie McMillin
Mon 5pm, Tue 8am, Wed 6am

"Solutions to Violence" is named after a Washington D. C. public school course created by the Washington Post journalist and political science professor Coleman McCarthy. The focus is on solving conflict without violence, as well as civil rights, fairness and justice. We interview local and national scholars, local community leaders and those who have been marginalized and oppressed. We discuss history that is not taught in public or parochial schools as well as peace education programs and strategies for solving conflict through peaceful resolutions. Tune-in to hear a new perspective on American history that demonstrates how the U.S. participation in war cannot be justified.
