We all live in a Sacrifice Zone, separated only by how well insulated we are in settler colonial projects. Tune in as Stretch introduces you to communities here at home and around the world that are suffering the impacts of settler colonialism.

If we are not able to understand the realities we face, if we can’t update our convictions from those we learned in childhood, we will remain lost in a labyrinth of attitudes created by propaganda and politically based doctrine. We will continue to accept the doctrine of others instead.

 

Politicians don’t say what we want them to say or do any more than I say or do what you want me to. They go through their lives thinking of themselves most of the time, just like we do. We just make them more dangerous by giving them power over us. 

 

We must speak the world we want into existence for ourselves and we must get rid of some old and dirty laundry first. We are in a drive through intellectually and effectively, relying on others to cook our ideas, package them neatly, and sell them to us-ready to eat…and a lot of what we consume is stale and should be thrown out.
